Notes to go by:
1. Introduce Mrs. Linda Sedlack and Mr. Chris Greene as these two teachers are the ones heading up our distance learning.
2. Show pictures of Mrs. Sedlack and Mr. Greene and their credentials.
3. Show preview of Mrs. Sedlack teaching in her room while being videoed or in while in video conference.
4. Show preview of Mr. Greene in his classroom while video conferencing with Mrs. Sedlacks class or watching her video. ( Probably both)
5. While showing the snippets of video of each class, discuss the importance of distance learning and the research to back up bringing Algebra down to the middle schools.

ReplyDeleteThis is great! Are you going to use any theory to support your ideas? How long has the program been running? Are the attrition and success rates at least or better than traditional classrooms?

Kim this is very good. I need you to show me how to go about completing a video like this. Also, how many minutes are you going to have the two speakers?
ReplyDeleteThe research is an ongoing process Erica, as you probably know, we at our district have been working on this project for the last year. This though is the first year we have implemented it and I do not know if the success rate is better than traditional classroom or not.
